Service Description

Come join us at our Communication Campout. This communication group is ideal for children ages 4 - 7 years of all communication styles, types, levels, and abilities. Children will work through various activities offering sensory input/movement, communicative opportunities and routines/directions with their caregiver. A focus on language building, turn-taking and vocabulary building/expansion within a supportive, welcoming environment takes place in this communication group. Waiver for group participation in the play area can be found here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSc3WlCzMZMY3k5-OVCPgfcM7V8nAMq-xPdDqLMHjQ3cXA-x8w/viewform?usp=publish-editor $175/6 weeks Minimum of 3 participants for group to run, maximum of 10 participants Hosted at The Sensory Play Place, 1395 Atwood Ave Unit 109 Johnston, RI 02919 (401-203-3157) Enrollment fee includes: *Full 6 week term (July 17, 24, 31, August 7, 14, 21, 2026) including one 45-minute structured, play‑based communication group session per week led by a licensed & certified Speech‑Language Pathologist. *Group participants: Children ages 4-7 years and their caregiver/s, communicators of all styles, types, levels and abilities abilities are encouraged to attend *Group focus: language building, turn-taking and vocabulary building/expansion, direction following *Activities: Sensory input/movement, play-based activities, songs, routines/directions *Families are invited to participate in open play in our play space during our open play hours weekly. *Caregivers receive supportive strategies/ideas throughout weekly sessions. *Small group size allowing for personalized attention ***Group Size: To ensure a supportive and effective learning environment, each communication group requires a minimum of four (3) enrolled participants to run. This group is capped at a maximum of ten (10) participants to maintain individualized attention and quality interaction.
