Join us as we hop on the Animal Sound Safari! This communication group is ideal for children ages 2 - 5 years of all communication styles, types, levels, and abilities. Children will work through various activities offering sensory input/movement, communicative opportunities and simple routines/directions with their caregiver. A focus on language building blocks, imitation, turn-taking and vocabulary building/expansion within a supportive, welcoming environment takes place in this communication group. Open play in the play areas is included with the class and families are invited to stay after the session has ended. Waiver for group participation in the play area can be found here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSc3WlCzMZMY3k5-OVCPgfcM7V8nAMq-xPdDqLMHjQ3cXA-x8w/viewform?usp=publish-editor $175/6 weeks Minimum of 3 participants for group to run, maximum of 10 participants Hosted at The Sensory Play Place, 1395 Atwood Ave Unit 109 Johnston, RI 02919 (401-203-3157) Enrollment fee includes: *Full 6 week term (July 17, 24, 31, August 7, 14, 21, 2026) including one 45-minute structured, play‑based communication group session per week led by a licensed & certified Speech‑Language Pathologist. *Group participants: Children ages 4-8 years and their caregiver/s, communicators of all styles, types, levels and abilities abilities are encouraged to attend *Group focus: Sound development, articulation, intelligibility, turn-taking, direction following *Activities: Sensory input/movement, play-based activities, songs, sound tasks, simple routines/directions *Open play in the play areas is included with the class and families are invited to play before the session starts *Caregivers receive supportive strategies/ideas throughout weekly sessions. *Small group size allowing for personalized attention ***Group Size: To ensure a supportive and effective learning environment, each communication group requires a minimum of four (3) enrolled participants to run. This group is capped at a maximum of ten (10) participants to maintain individualized attention and quality interaction.
